FAQ

  • I’m interested in working with you for sober support? What are my options?
I offer both 1:1 support and group coaching options and all my coaching is done virtually, via Zoom. Anyone who is interested in working with me should have a comfortable working knowledge of digital tools like email, Zoom, Google Drive, etc. and/or the interest in learning more. I do not see any clients in person.
  • If I’m interested in 1:1 support, how long do we work together?
I work with 1:1 clients for a minimum of 12 weeks/3 months. This is because creating lasting, sustainable change in your life takes time and consistency. Sessions happen weekly and support is provided for the entire duration of our time together. After our 12 weeks/3 months is complete, there are a variety of options to continue our work together if you want that. If you’d like to take the next steps with 1:1 support, click here.
  • What happens if I drink during our time together?
You will always be met with compassion and understanding, within a judgment- and shame-free container. Slips and missteps happen and I firmly believe that we can learn a lot about ourselves when they happen. These moments often shine a light on parts of our healing and sober journeys that need more love and care. If slips occur in our time together, we will explore them together, get clear on the root and create a plan for moving forward, together. We don’t have to “reset” the clock (if counting days is your thing) and we don’t have to beat ourselves up. We explore the circumstances with curiosity and compassion.
  • What if I am interested in going alcohol-free but I’m not quite ready to quit drinking? Can we still work together?
Absolutely! While I don’t coach around long-term moderation approaches, I will always meet you where you’re at and support you in moving towards your goals, including starting with harm reduction approaches that meet your needs. If you are interested in an alcohol-free life, I can support you in getting there.
  • I want to work with you but the financial investment is an issue. What are my options?
I hear this! For both 1:1 support and group coaching, I offer no interest payment plans (and extended payment plans for 1:1 support) in an effort to increase accessibility. I am also a certified, registered professional coach which means that if you have a healthcare spending account or a flexible spending account, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement on a portion of my services. Another aspect to consider: hiring a coach is not only an investment in you, your life and your wellness but it’s also an investment in your future. In moving towards an alcohol-free life, our work will not only benefit many areas of your life, it will also remove the future expense of purchasing alcohol from your life. If you are looking into sober coaching, chances are you are currently spending some money on alcohol. In working together and moving towards an alcohol-free lifestyle, you will inevitably free up some funds that can be redirected into other investments, like coaching. If you’re interested in calculating how much money you’re spending on alcohol, check this out. If paid sober support isn’t an option for you at this time, I have a variety of free resources that I invite you to take advantage of including subscribing to my bi-weekly newsletter, grabbing a free copy of my 5 Step Guide to Kickstart Your Sobriety Workbook, joining my private Facebook group for sober and sober curious women, listening to one of the many podcast interviews I’ve done or following me on Instagram.
  • How do you accept payments?
For clients in Canada, etransfer is one option. I also accept payments via credit card using Stripe, which allows you to pay in your own currency. HST is applied to all clients residing in Canada.
  • Do you guarantee results?
I do not. The reason for this is simple; I cannot guarantee or predict the outcome of our time and work together. Only you can do this. I have worked with dozens and dozens of clients who have found success with my holistic, evidence-based, integrated approach to entering and sustaining sobriety and at the end of the day, I can give you the best tools, care and support and only you can decide what you do with that. Only you can guarantee your results. And you’re more powerful than you think. If you’re curious about what previous clients have said about working with me, check out my Testimonials page.
